Channel 7 WXYZ-TV’s chief Meteorologist, Jerry Hodak will be wrapping up his 45 years in television later this evening. Jerry is a native Detroiter who grew up in the area with his family. When asked about his first career choice, he replied : “The first thing I wanted to do when I was a kid was play third base for the Tigers,” Hodak said “I couldn’t hit the curve ball so I went into television.” (Detroit News)

On September 8, Jerry came to Comerica Park and threw out a ceremonial first pitch. He was greeted with a standing ovation from the crowd! Thank you, Jerry for the great weather over the years for our Detroit Tigers. Best of luck to you!
