A little bit of luck
Longtime Detroit Tigers fan Nancy Edgeworth shared with us a story of luck and Tigers pride.

“I have always had faith in the Tigers and in Detroit. I grew up in Tiger Stadium going to as many games as I could. My favorite seasons were the late 1970′s when Mark Fidrych pitched and Alan Trammell & Lou Whitaker were just beginning their careers. I’ve never stopped rooting for the Tigers, even after I moved to Maryland. I wear my Tigers jersey to every game I can make at Camden Yards. So when I received a phone call telling me I won a cruise from the Maryland State Lottery, I was not only ecstatic to get a free vacation, I intentionally wore a Tigers shirt when I claimed my prize!”

We have had wonderful memories of Sparky Anderson.. Met him in Lakeland Fl. at Spring Training and his motel room was right next door to us… He was such a neat man and we
never discussed baseball when we visitied with him…He would be so humble about everything we talked about. Took several photos of him and after spending 2 weeks in Lakeland we became good friends… What a guy!! Always will remember those good times.
