Tigers Head Athletic Trainer Kevin Rand and Tigers utility man Don
Kelly hosted nearly 80 youth from Detroit area baseball organizations during
a PLAY Campaign clinic (Promoting a Lifetime of Activity among Youth) on the
field at Comerica Park. As part of this
league-wide initiative, the program promotes healthy living by teaching
children the importance of staying fit, being active and maintaining a healthy
lifestyle to prevent childhood obesity.
As part of “Every Kid, Every Sunday” several lucky young
fans had to opportunity to take the field on Sunday, August 21st to meet
their favorite Tiger! One lucky Tiny Tigers fan had the opportunity to meet Jhonny
The Tigers new team plane is the Red Bird III, replacing its current plane Red Bird II. This new bird will allow for non-stop flights to the west coast, additional seats and more cargo space for equipment. The plane is shared between the Tigers and Red Wings. Red Bird III could be used as early as the end of the regular season for the Tigers.

July 30th. Over 100 cars were on display in front of Comerica Park!
Sunday, July 31st was “Photo Day” at Comerica

Detroit Tigers players, staff, wives and girlfriends
participated in the “Dancing with the Stars” event to benefit Jacks Place at
Joe Louis Area on Monday, August 1st. To promote the event, dancers
from the Fred Astaire Dance Studio performed on the dugout during the
Zubazpalooza ! On August 3rd fans could buy a ticket package
that included a pair of Zubaz pants, and an invitation to a pre-game party at
