The Tigers are working hard to complete the construction of the new scoreboard for Opening Day. The old board has been taken apart and today the first new pieces are being installed. Take a look at a few photos from the construction.
While Tigers fans from around the world are eagerly awaiting the start of the baseball season, Detroit Tigers clubhouse staff members are busy preparing for Spring Training. This morning was spent packing boxes, hauling carts and loading the truck for destination: Lakeland, Florida, home of the Detroit Tigers Spring Training facility. The Tigers truck is scheduled to leave Comerica Park this afternoon.
This coming Sunday, February 19th, pitchers and catchers report to Lakeland while Friday, February 24th, position players are scheduled to arrive. Spring Training officially begins Friday, March 2nd leading up to Opening Day in Detroit on April 5th.
