Who's Your Intern?

The number one question most people working for professional sports teams get asked is: "How did you get your job?" The answer is most often starts with "I was an intern...." Like most businesses, we have a small army of interns to help around the office. Keeping a baseball team running smoothly through 81 home games and during an even busier off-season requires talented people that can step in and fill a vital role. Our interns aren't just running for coffee and making copies. They interact with our corporate clients, help plan promotions, even put together special events. Many of our front office staff members started out as interns at one point including the person writing this blog entry (Ron Wade, 2003 Intern).

If you or someone you know is a current college junior or senior, or has graduated from college in the last six months, they are eligible to apply for a Detroit Tigers Internship. We are currently looking for interns in 20 departments, both here in Detroit and in Lakeland, Florida. Good luck!
