Play Baseball Detroit, On-Field Clinic, Kid Rock

Today was an EXTREMELY busy day for the front office. First, we took Edwin Jackson and Marcus Thames to The Barbour Magnet school in Detroit for a "Play Baseball Detroit" rally.

DSC_0217.JPGWhen we returned to Comerica, we found out the Kid Rock will be playing a second show in our park on July 18th.Tickets go on sale next Saturday at 10AM.

One of the quirks of our schedule this year is that we played at home for just one weekend in April, so it's good to back at Comerica on the weekend. This Saturday we have our annual pre-game on-field clinic. Fans can come down onto the grass at Comerica Park and learn baseball from current Tigers players and coaches. The lineup for tomorrows clinic is as follows:

Rick Porcello / Gene Lamont - Pitching

Bullpen Catcher Scott Pickens / Gene Lamont - Catching

Dane Sardinha / Lloyd McClendon - Hitting

Ramon Santiago / Rafael Belliard - Infield

Josh Anderson / Andy Van Slyke - Outfield
