Tonight is the start of the longest homestand of the year--9 games in 10 days. The office is buzzing because MC Hammer will be throwing out the first pitch for tonight's game. He'll be visiting the FOX Sports Detroit booth for an interview today as well. There may even be a surprise appearance on the scoreboard. He provided the soundtrack for one Detroit-area team's championship run, who's to say he can't do it again? This weekend also marks the return of Friday & Saturday night fireworks! We will be playing a new game prior to the fireworks show. Let us know what you think!
Sunday is Kids Day as always as well as on-field photo day. If you're coming to the game, gates open at 11:00AM. Once you leave the field, be sure to come check out Pack Attack near Gate B (Under the Pepsi Porch). The grand prize is a cracked, game-used Magglio Ordoñez bat.
One final note, the baseball world is abuzz with Twitter. Check out the MLB players and teams (including us) that are now tweeting.
