Spirit of '84

The 1984 Celebration last night was a spectacular kick-off to a busy and crucial homestand. Even though mother nature didn't cooperate, most fans enjoyed the stories of 1984 heroes like Sparky Anderson, Kirk Gibson, Jack Morris & Alan Trammell. Today's doubleheader should have a playoff-like intensity. Here are the game notes and Tigers Today.

PAWS SPEAKS! (sort of)

Today was a big day in the life of our 14-year old mascot. He was quoted in a press release about Sunday's bobblehead giveaway!

"I never expected a bobblehead giveaway to be made in my honor," an ecstatic PAWS conveyed through a team publicist. "It's a real privilege to join Miguel Cabrera as the other Tigers bobblehead giveaway this season."

You can read the entire release here. You can read tonight's game notes & Tigers Tonight here:

Rabbit, Rabbit, White Rabbit

September is officially over Tigers fans, and you know what that means?

THE PENNANT RACE IS ON!

We're coming down the home stretch, which means rally caps, lucky socks, rabbit's feet, and any other superstition you can think of to bring the wins.

Cleveland rolls into town tonight to start the first September series and the last series against the Tribe at Comerica Park. Tune in to FSD tonight on your TV or WXYT 97.1FM on your radio dial to catch all the action.

Now that we're in the final month of the regular season, we want to know what you're doing to help the Tigers clinch the AL central. Do you wear your rally cap to work? Sit in the same spot when watching the game on TV? Throw a "lightswitch rave" after each victory? Leave a comment and let us know!

Last Answer

This marks the 5th season in a row that the Tigers have sold more than 2 million tickets, the 6th season it's happened at Comerica Park, and the 12th over 2M season in franchise history. A big thank you to all our fans who've made it out to Comerica and cheered the team on. Let's go Tigers!
