1984 Detroit Tigers Honored September 28 at Comerica Park!
Members of the 1984 Detroit Tigers will be honored during an on-field, pregame ceremony on Monday, September 28 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Tigers World Series championship. Scheduled to participate in the 1984 World Championship 25th Anniversary reunion are Sparky Anderson, Darrell Evans, ALCS MVP Kirk Gibson, 1984 AL MVP and Cy Young winner Guillermo Hernandez, Jack Morris, Lance Parrish and World Series MVP Alan Trammell, among others. Gates open early at 5 p.m.
Fans have the opportunity to interact with members of the 1984 Tigers from 5:15-6:10 p.m. either during a question and answer session in the Brushfire Grill or during photo opportunities at Sections 125 and 144. Additionally, the first 10,000 fans to enter Comerica Park will receive a free 1984 Detroit Tigers replica road jersey, sponsored by Frito-Lay, and throughout the game hundreds of fans will have a chance to win 1984 autographed memorabilia.

What happened to the promotion of "hundreds of fans will have a chance to win 1984 autographed memorabilia" for the September 28th baseball game? I realize the game was postponed to September 29th. My family went to the event on 9/28 and went back for the make-up game on 9/29. We drove from Grand Rapids. I was shocked that there was no continuation of the 1984 events and no mention of the 1984 team during the 9/29 make-up game. The song "Bless You Boys" wasn't even played either night. I know the weather had a small part in the event, but it had to be the worse organized event I had ever been to at Comerica Park. I would think that you would have done your best to make-up for it during the make-up game on 9/29, but you didn't. Your team and Promotions Department get a "F" for this event.
I had written a letter to Comerica Park Guest Services Department over a month ago regarding this feedback and still have not received a response.
