The Pennant Race Is ON!
So what's going on in the front office? Preparations for a big homestand with the Blue Jays and Royals as well as final planning for the 25th Anniversary of the 1984 World Series Championship on September 28th. Here are game notes for this afternoon's tilt with the Royals to get you in the mood for a big weekend of baseball at Comerica Park.
Some of the highlights of the upcoming Toronto series:
9/11: A salute to the men & women of the fire & police forces. Also, the Tigers will wear the patriotic red "American flag" caps during the game
9/11 & 9/12: 50/50 Raffle to benefit the American Red Cross and Postgame fireworks (weather permitting)
9/13: ALL KIDS 14 & Under will receive a PAWS Bobblehead courtesy of Comcast.
It's Sunday Kids Day so there will be free rides on the Comerica Carousel and Ferris Wheel, free facepainting, bicycle giveaways, Radio Disney and the game that has become a Sunday Kids Day sensation, Pack Attack! Pack Attack will be played at Gate B from 11:45AM-12:30PM. Grand Prize is a game-used base!
